Reading Eggs / Reading Eggspress 2016

Reading Eggs (3-7 years) / Reading Eggspress (7-13 years) is an optional reading literacy programme we have offered for several years within the school.  This programme supports your child’s classroom literacy programme. It has proven to be a very popular and successful tool in assisting with literacy knowledge and skills.

Every child at Woodstock School has the opportunity to purchase Reading Eggs / Reading Eggspress 

Reading Eggs / Eggspress can be used in a number of ways;

1.       As literacy homework .  After completing an initial test, the programme will then select the appropriate level for your child to be working at. From there, the children will progress through the levels, which get more difficult over time.

2.      

      Your child will be given opportunities to use Reading Eggs / Eggspress in the classroom if they have their username and passwords available, i.e. in their homework books or memorised. 

Benefits of the programme are:

·         This powerful educational program is based on the most up-to-date research on how children learn to read.

·         It uses animation, activities and reward games to keep children motivated.

·         The program is completely interactive to keep children on task.

·         It is competitive and challenging

·         Students instantly know if they are on the right track or not

·         Children are having fun as they learn.

The cost is $32.00 per child.

This will give your child access to Reading Eggs / Eggspress until 31^st January 2017.

Please note:  To use Reading Eggs on your iPad, iPhone and Android devices, simply download the Reading Eggs app. 

Reading Eggspress (age 7-13) which requires flash animation, is not however, currently supported on iPads and other tablets.  You can download the free app Rover, to access the Reading Eggspress site.

If you wish to purchase Reading Eggs / Eggspress please return the slip and payment to the school office in an envelope. Please note, we will offer this opportunity to purchase the programme again in
