Easter Holidays

School will be closed over Easter on the following days:

Friday 25th March – Good Friday
Saturday 26th March - Weekend
Sunday 27th March -  Weekend
Monday 28th March – Easter Monday
Tuesday 29th  March – Easter Tuesday
Below please find an excerpt from Ministry of Education website.
Schools closed on Easter Tuesday
For over 60 years now Easter Tuesday has been a school holiday for children who go to state and state integrated schools in NZ.  By law schools must be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday as they are public holidays, and Easter Tuesday which is a school holiday.
When Easter falls in April this school holiday often goes unnoticed by parents.  This is because where possible the Ministry tries to align the start of the April school holidays with Easter.
When Easter falls early, like this year where Good Friday is on 25 March, the end of term can’t be aligned so there is a 5 day Easter break during term time.

This means if you plan to work on Easter Tuesday, 29 March, you’ll need to make some childcare arrangements.  If your school normally offers before and after school care, or holiday programmes talk check whether they will be offering these on Easter Tuesday.  They may also know about other programmes in your community. Remember, by law under 14 year olds must be adequately supervised.

WE NEED NEW FRIENDS!!

Hi Everyone!
We have a great team of teachers and parents who get together with the common purpose of making the school a better place for our children to learn and grow.

As our children are continually moving on from Woodstock School for their Intermediate years of schooling, along with their parents/caregivers, we have a real need for new members and/or helpers to step forward.

We are hoping to find some interested parents/caregivers to join the PTA!
There are many ways you can participate.  You can register to be a Friend of the PTA where we might call on you to help with things like Cake Stalls, distribution of Pies, Parent help at the Disco etc if you are available.  You will also receive communications via email to let you know whats going on including meeting minutes and reports.
Alternatively you might like to join the PTA and attend the monthly meetings to share ideas about bringing the Woodstock School community together through fun activities, fundraising, communicating with and supporting our school families.

Our next meeting is being held on Monday 4th April at 7.30pm so please feel welcome to come along to see what we are all about!

Another option is to complete the tear off slip today to register your interest and we will make contact with you.

Thank You!
