GALA UPDATE from the PTA

WOODSTOCK SCHOOL GALA

Saturday 31st October 10am - 2pm

‘Family, Friends, Food & Fun’

DID YOU KNOW??….Our Gala will be a community fundraising event.  The funds raised from the Gala will go towards the resurfacing of our old asphalted playing courts to astroturf.  

The asphalt surface is deteriorating and new astroturf would provide a safe, all-weather space for our sports teams and fresh learning and playing spaces for our children.

Organising our school gala is an on-going process and the PTA needs as much help as parents/caregivers, family, friends and their businesses can offer!

Throughout this term and especially in the weeks leading up to this event the PTA and/or your child’s Syndicate will be requesting donations and offers of help.

STARTING NOW we are happy to receive DONATIONS OF NEW GOODS & SERVICES

We require the following:

1. PRIZES - any small items that may be useful to use as game prizes.

2. RAFFLE ITEMS - any items you could donate to use in Gift Baskets for the quickfire raffles.  Examples of the types of gift baskets we are hoping to put together and raffle are:

* Pamper Mom * For the Golfers * BBQ Basket * Baby Love * Get Ready for School * Outdoor Adventures i.e. fishing and camping * Movie Night at home * Italian Dinner Night * For Gardeners * Family Fitness * For the Pets * Arts and Crafts *Summer Fun * Baking with Kids * Lego Lovers *  *Superheros * Team Spirit ie. themed items for Chiefs or similar * Chocolate delight * Favourite books for kids *

3. TENDERS BOARD - larger goods or services that may be used on our Tenders Board.  This is run similar to a silent auction with gala visitors putting in their best one off offer to win. ie. a new jug/toaster package, a two night stay at a family bach, a celebrity signed sports ball.  

Note: These items may be put together as a package ie. Movie and Meal Vouchers as a Family Fun Day out.  

4. MYSTERY ENVELOPES - Pay $5.00 for a numbered Mystery Envelope, open and win the corresponding numbered prize.  Prize value must be over $5.00.  Examples of what prizes could be donated to win:

* an umbrella * a magazine * a Ukelele * a movie voucher or similar * a pencil case * a hat * and so on.

Please note these donations need to be new and not used!

We will welcome all donations so please start dropping these into the school office at your earliest convenience.
