Very Important information for Year 4 children going to camp on Thursday

We go to CAMP in one more sleep !!
Reminders and final information for our Year 4 camp . . .
  • Transport:  If you are transporting children please park your car on the field behind Rooms 10 and 11.
  • Booster Seats:  If your child requires a booster seat, please bring your child’s seat along to school tomorrow morning so we can ensure it is installed in the car your child will be travelling in.
  • At 8.20 am teachers will check Reg/WOF/Licences.  Please be out on field ready for the check.  Our team teachers will be busy with other administration task, so keep an eye out for other teachers who will be out there to assist with this.
  • Children are to assemble in the hall by 8.30am.
  • All bags etc to the hall (not to classrooms).
  • When the roll is being taken, Mrs Tangney will talk to parents transporting children.  (We will gather in Room 10).
  • Baking goes in the box that will be on the stage.
  • Medication: Please place into a plastic bag with your child’s name clearly marked on the outside with the dosage instructions.  Please hand DIRECTLY to Mrs Crawford in the hall.  Parents will need to sign a form when handing over medication that will be on the stage.
  • Lunch: You need a BIG lunch and water bottle tomorrow.
  • Children must remember their hat and bottle of sun-block. Please make sure this is applied before they leave home.  We will REGULARLY remind them to ‘reapply’ their sunblock J
  • Ensure your shoes are comfortable for a very busy day ahead.
  • Hiking Clothing: Wear your hiking clothes to school.
  • Hiking Back-Pack/School Bag – Please pack ready for the hike. (Lunch, sunblock, rain jacket, drink . . .)
  • The weather forecast for Thursday is looking good, but due to the wet weather we have had leading up to camp, please make sure children pack an extra pair of shoes, an extra towel and plastic bags for wet, muddy washing.  (These are in addition to the camp list of equipment).
  • We intend to go on the hike/do our outdoor activities even if the weather is not co-operating, so a jacket and an extra change of clothes or two would be a good idea too.  (We will have lots of warm drinks and showers!) J
  • We have asked the children to pack their pencil cases into their luggage.
On Friday  . . . We aim to be back at school between 2.15 and 2.30pm on Friday.  If you are a parent who is meeting us at camp to transport children back, can you please be at the camp by 1.00pm.

Thank you for your support,  Rachael Tangney, Anna Crawford and Rebecca Low
