Dear
Parents/Caregivers
On
Monday 9 June our senior students will be visiting the Waikato Museum as part
of our Big Learning topic for this term. We will be exploring 150 years of
Hamilton and investigating our own family history.
This
is a valuable experience for our students as it allows them to see the history
of Hamilton in an interactive way. This trip will include 3 sections:
- An exhibition tour of Hamilton Stories from founding the town until present.
- A history detective walk around the CBD
- Model making
The
cost of this trip is $11.00 which includes the bus to and from the museum. Please
return permission slip and payment to the school office no later than Wednesday 4 June.
Rooms
12 and 13 will be leaving at 9am and will be returning by 12pm. They will need
to take morning tea with them.
Rooms
14 and 15 will be leaving at 12pm. Please note that Rooms 14 & 15 will be
arriving back at school later than normal on this day. We aim to be back to
school between 3:00 and 3:15pm
We
will also require 4 parent helpers to attend per class. It is free for parent
helpers to attend with us.
Thank
you,
The
Pohutukawa Team
Margaret
Bull, Nicole Harrison, Chris Read & Tara McAuley
