The
children of Rimu Syndicate have been learning about the sun, moon and other
interesting facts about space. We have
the opportunity to visit Hamilton’s Observatory. This visit will make what we have been
investigating in the classroom more real to the students.
Date: 12
March 2015
Time: 7.00pm
at Woodstock School car park (if you need transport) OR
7.30pm at Hamilton Observatory (Hamilton Zoo), 183 Brymer Rd, Hamilton (if you are going to meet us there)
Structure of the Evening:
The first 30 minutes will be a discussion and questioning
time. The next 30 minutes will be an
opportunity for the children to look through the big telescope at the stars, moon
and planets. We will leave the Hamilton Observatory
at 8.30pm. Those being transported from
Woodstock School will be back by 8.45pm.
Cost for this trip is $5 per child and $10 per adult. You are welcome to bring your family, however
they will all need to pay.
