Countdown
to CAMP –
One week
to go!
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
There are not many sleeps left until we leave for camp on Thursday 20th
November.
Just a few reminders to ensure we all have a successful trip.
1.
All safety forms
should have been returned by now. Please
make sure they are returned to school TOMORROW. This is very important.
2.
There are few
payments still to be made by a few families.
Please ensure this is done ASAP.
3.
Children are to assemble in the hall by 8.30am
on Thursday 20th November.
4.
If your child requires a booster seat, please make
sure you leave it with your child’s luggage on Thursday morning, or better
still, hand it over to the parent transporting your child to camp.
5.
There will be labelled boxes placed in the hall to drop
off your baking.
6.
Please put any medication into a plastic bag with your
child’s name clearly marked on the outside with
the dosage instructions.
Medication needs to be handed DIRECTLY to Anna (Mrs Crawford) on
Thursday morning. You will then be asked
to fill and sign the medication form
7.
It is very important that you pack a substantial lunch
and drink for your child on Thursday.
They will be very hungry after our long walk.
8.
Helpful hint:
please ensure your child’s shoes for day one are comfortable and toe
nails are trimmed. We do go on a long
hike and we want the children to be as comfortable as possible, without
worrying about blisters and sore toes.
9.
Children must
remember their hat and bottle of sun-block. Sun-block needs to be applied before they come
to school on Thursday. If possible, can
hats please be bought and left at school on Wednesday, so we can guarantee the
children have them. Our sun safe policy
states children MUST have suitable hats to participate in outdoor activities.
10. The clothes the
children wear to school are the clothes they will be hiking in.
11. Their back-pack for
hiking should be packed ready for the hike.
12.
We aim to be back
at school between 2.15 and 2.30pm on Friday.
If you are a parent who is meeting us at camp to transport children
back, can you please be at the camp by 1.00pm.
13. In case of an
emergency, the teachers can be contacted by notifying the Camp Office on (07) 8298665.
Any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you for your
support.
Rachael Tangney, Anna Crawford and Rebecca Low
