Kia ora, my name is Kaaro iti-Moeke. I am the current
Chairperson of ‘Whanau Awhina’ – Woodstock School’s Whanau Committee. Our Board
of Trustees does not currently have Māori representation, however they have
invited Whanau Awhina to nominate a member to fill the role. As the parent/caregiver of a student
identifying as Māori at Woodstock, Whanau Awhina invite you to participate in
the process of voting for someone to represent the school’s Māori community.
We have had 3 people express an interest in filling the
role – Kelly Spriggs, Sarfraz Hapuku and Horiana Henderson. We would like to
use part of this evening to hear what each can bring to the role to best
represent our whanau.
