Kapahaka 2011 - For Years 4 - 6 Children


CONSENT FORM FOR KAPAHAKA

If your Year 4-6 child is interested in joining the school Kapahaka group, please discuss the following information with them


The students will be tutored by Rawri Henare who heads the Te Ao Marama Cultural Performing Arts Programme. This programme focuses on learning traditional Waikato waiatas through to using traditional treasures helping with hand eye coordination.



Those interested students will be withdrawn from the classroom programme to participate in this programme every Friday from 11am to 11.35am. Should your child wish to partake in this programme please discuss with them that this is a commitment to last until the end of the year.



Once a child has been given parental permission to attend this programme, then a commitment is made in the following ways:

Children will be responsible to: ensure they attend all sessions and obey the instructions of the tutor and other whanau helpers Parents are responsible to:

· ensure that their child will accept the behaviour standards necessary for the success of the programme, and for the enjoyment and learning of all the children involved

· agree that their child can be removed from the programme because of unacceptable behaviour.



Please discuss the above with your child and return the permission slip to the office by Tuesday 12th April.
