Fairfield Cluster Swimming 2014

The children who this notice applies to, have been contacted by Mrs Lewis.

Tuesday 11 March 2014

Dear Parents/Caregivers

Your child _____________________________ has been selected to compete at the Fairfield Cluster Swimming Sports on Tuesday 18  March.  The postponement date for this event is Thursday 20  March.  The event will be held at the Fairfield College Swimming Pool from 9.15am – 12.30 (approx.).

Your child will be competing in the following events:

Your child need to bring togs, 2 towels, a sunhat, substantial snacks and a drink bottle.  As the morning may be cool, a jumper would be a good idea.

Swimmers are to meet in Room 21 at 8.20am. We will be walking to Fairfield College, leaving at 8.30 and returning at lunchtime.  We will need parent helpers to assist with walking children to and from Fairfield College and as ‘life guards’ (with support from the Fairfield College PE students – so you won’t actually have to get in the water J)

We welcome your support of our team at this event.

Maree Lewis and the Senior School Teachers

Update from the PTA

Thank you to all those families that joined the PTA for  a most pleasant Picnic on the Paddock evening last Thursday.  The evening was wonderful with many families sharing time together and playing games on the field.
Thank you.

This Thursday after the Junior School Tryathon, the PTA will be selling iceblocks outside the staffroom from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Bring your loose change!

Our major fund raiser for this term are Chocolate bars. These will be issued next Wednesday to the children. There will also be a selection of prizes to be won dependant on the number of boxes sold per family.  There will be prizes for the best selling boy and girl in each year group. Take the bars to as many places as you think you might be able to sell them (work places, after school activities, family functions, neighbours etc.) Remember to use your best Woodstock selling skills and be grateful for any sales that you make. The more we sell, the better our fund raising goes!

Good Luck selling!
  PTA information for your diaries

There may be other ideas that come up over the year that are too good to miss....we will give you plenty of warning of anything extra and hope that over the year we cover all  our bases with great ideas and items you will enjoy.
As always, if you have any suggestions please direct your ideas to a PTA member. We are always keen to have new and fresh ideas to work with. Likewise if you would like to donate anything towards our auction items these would be gratefully accepted.  Be creative with your ideas: sponsor a table, offer a service, loan a holiday home, create an experience, discount a product, supply a membership, or give generously of your time.
