Our Year 4 students will be visiting Karakariki Camp to enjoy an outdoor, overnight camp
experience on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st  November, Week 6 - Term 4.

We travel to and from Karakariki by car.

The cost for the camp will be $70.  This includes accommodation, meals and an activity fee.
Meals are catered for, including those people who require special dietary requirements.
Children will need to bring their lunch on the first day for our hike.

You may choose to pay for all of this now, or you may pay some now and some later.
Permission slips (see below) are due by Week 6, 14th March.

Full payment is due by the end of Week 1, Term 4 – Friday 17th October 2014.

We are all really looking forward to the camp.  We have lots of fun activities planned, like a
bush study and hike, rock wall climbing, BMX riding, orienteering, archery and maybe swimming
(weather permitting).

We require some parents to stay with us and others to help with transporting children to and
from camp.  Please indicate below if you are interested in assisting, and return the slip to the
school office so we can begin preparing for our camp adventure.

 Thank you for your support,

Fonterra Milk for Schools Programme

Fonterra Milk for Schools is all about growing healthy children. Milk contains essential nutrients for growth and development. The natural nutrition of milk gives children calcium for building strong bones and the nutrients they need for sustained energy, concentration and learning in the classroom. If you would like further information on the programme visit www.fonterramilkforschools.com.

At Woodstock School Fonterra delivers all year 1-6 children a pack of UHT milk every Tuesday and Thursday. Participation in this programme is entirely voluntary.

If you do not wish for your child to participate in this programme please complete the permission form below and return to the school office as soon as possible. If you do not return the form your child will automatically be added to the list of children who do receive milk.

Yours Sincerely,

Woodstock Hockey Summer League 2014

Waikato Hockey Association run a Summer League for players Years 3 – 8.  The competition commences on the 18th February and runs until the 15th April.  Games are held on a Tuesday night.  As for all hockey games, mouth guards, shin pads and shoes are compulsory.  It is a great opportunity to gain experience with the sport, with no weekly practices.  Games are 6 aside.

This is a social competition and although an attempt will be made to grade teams of similar ability please be aware you could play teams that are of vastly differing experience.

In order for the team to play, one umpire will also be required per team, including or as well as one adult supervisor.

Teams are required to be registered for this league by the 11th February.

Fees: These are dependent on the number of students who wish to register for the Hockey Summer League. The following is an indication of the fees - $40.00.  Once a team/s is confirmed a letter confirming the exact amount will be sent home.  PLEASE DO NOT PAY THE FEES UNTIL YOU ARE INVOICED BY THE SCHOOL OFFICE.

If your child is interested in playing please fill out the form below and post this form in the box at the school office no later than Friday 7th February.  If there is insufficient interest a team will not be able to be registered.

Any queries please contact Bronwyn Nicholas in Room 4
